Crown Royal 18 Years honors the time it takes to reveal the extra rare expression of a unique blend of whiskies. This 2-year campaign celebrated the gems within communities that embody this journey and introduced them as the new luxury and royalty that they are.

Like Crown Royal Aged 18 Years, Chopped & Screwed is a masterclass in blending. There is a deep cultural understanding that Screw’s genre-blending compositions possess expert craftsmanship and exquisite taste much like whisky making. Crown Royal partnered with Houston artists to blend old luxury--like classical music led by the Dr. Anne Lundy of the Scott Joplin Orchestra--with new luxury, Houston's own chopped and screwed beats. We took the audience on a musical journey to help communicate that just like Extra Rare Aged 18 Years, the community also masterfully blended an extra rare gift-- Houston's unique sound.

The Event
Nestled in the heart of Atlanta’s stylish Buckhead district and adjacent to the five-star St. Regis Hotel; The Garden Room provided the perfect backdrop for the extra rare launch of Crown 18 Year. Upon entry, guests were immediately absorbed into the premium world of Crown 18 Year and invited to begin a fully immersive and sensory journey across the five activation areas.









Many synergies exist between the creation of grillz and the Crown 18 Year. The Five Stages explored this connection through museum-quality exhibition booths which connected the complex and time honored craftsmanship of both processes. Five booths, comprised of AV, physical, and literary components, drew focus to represent each unique stage.

The Collaboration

Inspired by the extra rare alchemy of the liquid and the shared story of new luxury, Scotty ATL created bespoke sets of grillz to be part of this collaboration.









The Event & Tasting
This invite-only event served to explore the brand story alongside the history of Grillz culture through an immersive exhibition, curated activations, unique musical programming, delicious cuisine and craft cocktails to match.














To top off the experience and keep the extra rare collaboration at the helm, guests witnessed the unveiling of a super premium custom set of Grillz created by Scotty ATL and Eddie Plein exclusively with Crown Royal, which was set for auction following the event in support of the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund.






The Giveback
Partnering with PopShop Live, we auctioned off a set of custom CR18 X Scotty ATL Grillz. All proceeds went back into enriching Black communities in Atlanta.
